    Hi,
I am completely new in DRM technology implementation and the issue came up with one project where I need to work out on Digitial Rights Management for a corbis like site.

The platform I am using Zend Framework (PHP / MySQL Enterprise) but am not sure how to work with DRM.

It would be great if you can give me a brief idea as how to go ahead with it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Dave,

Do you want to implement OMA DRM for devices, or other DRM for computers?

    OMA DRM Wrapper:

    Hello there!
This is very interesting. Is this in accordance with OMA 1.0 or 2.0? Does it support Separate Delivery (SD) or only Compbined delivery or is it just Forward Lock?

Please get back to me asap.

    • Kerem
#6 written by Kerem 3 years ago

      Hi Jonas,

It is compliant to OMA 1.0 spec. I have not been able to send push message rights for seperate delivery, so I could not completely try it, but combined delivery and forward lock are working fully according to the spec.

      Hi Chris,

The generator’s source code is unavailable at this time.

    Hi Kerem

I’m investigating how to apply OMA forward-lock in a realtime manner, just as you described, for PHP. Has your source code become available in the meantime? Otherwise, i would be eternally grateful if you could point me towards some technical specifications on how to implement forward lock on files such as realtones and wallpapers.

    Great job, and great website!
    Thanks
    Tibi

I was very pleased to come such such a comprehensive generator for QR and one that would export in eps. However, I can’t get any of the vcard QRs that I have created to be read properly on a number on QR readers. Not sure what the problem is. Do you have any idea?

    • Kerem
#18 written by Kerem 2 years ago

It’s the problem of the readers. They can’t interpret the vCard inside the QR Code.

Could you please explain what it takes (application, ect.) to enable a Smartphone to read the QR codes that you generate to pull up a specific website?? Thank you.

    • Kerem
#22 written by Kerem 2 years ago

You can find links to several QR Code reader apps for smartphones on the generator page. The only absent one is the recommendation to an iPhone app, which will be changed in a few weeks.

I am trying to create a qr code that will allow the user go to a specific blogger page and start blogging. is this possible?

    • Kerem
#24 written by Kerem 2 years ago

Should be possible. It is not something about the QR Code, it is about the capability of the URL you go.

  • michael
#25 written by michael 2 years ago

so… the qr code is only limited to the functionality of how the website is written. Great looks like the sky’s the limit on what i want to do. Thanks Kerem

    Hi Kerem,
I generated a QR code a few weeks ago for our CFO (using the Create a vCard) and everything worked great using the Qrafter app. I went in today to do the same for our Sales Manager and when we tested the QR code with the app it is now showing two email addresses instead of an email and a URL address. Please help!
    Thank you!

    Hi Kerem,

Great job. Awesome scanner you have developed.

How can I generate a QR code with a photo of myself in vCard? I guess someone have asked this question before. Pls enlighten.

    Thanks

    • Kerem
#30 written by Kerem 2 years ago

Do you want to add the photo in the vCard or do you want to overlay it onto the QR Code?

        Hi,

I want to add the photo in vCard. Thanks.

#32 written by Kerem 2 years ago

You can’t add a photo directly in a QR Code, that’s too much information and QR Code cannot handle it. But you can add a URL that points to your image on a server. I’ll add that ability soon to the generator.

  • Chris
#33 written by Chris 1 year ago

Hi Kerem. Quick question. I have very limited space on my product label to add a QR code – no more than about 1cm squared. Would you suggest going with a Micro QR (doesn’t scan consistently, not widely used yet), or can I just shrink down the QR Code image to that size. Note…I’ve tried the latter and tested successfully with Qrafter on the iPhone. thoughts”

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris

    • Kerem
#34 written by Kerem 1 year ago

Go with a QR Code. Don’t consider Micro QR Code. This will mean iPhone 3G will not be able to scan it, but iPhone 3GS and newer will not have problems. Also make sure the content in the code is as small as possible.

  • Chris
#35 written by Chris 1 year ago

Terrific, thank you. Physical size-wise, is there a minimum standard for QR or is it a case of if it scans it’s OK?

    • Kerem
#36 written by Kerem 1 year ago

Try as many phones as possible to scan it. There is no minimum standard, but every phone can read different sizes because of their camera quality.

Yes, I will start working on making Qrafter a universal app in the next weeks.
