Qrafter and Qrafter Pro reached 3 million downloads
2More than 2 months before its second birthday, Qrafter -and its sister app Qrafter Pro- reach 3 million combined downloads. I am glad to be the developer of one of the most successful QR Code apps on iOS and hope to see it help boost your productivity for many more years, continuing to thrive with your valuable feedback. Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 6.1 for iPhone and iPad now available
0Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 6.1 are now available for download on the App Store.
This version came a little too soon after 6.0, but I found some performance issues with the responsiveness of the camera view, so I wanted to optimize it quickly to make it much more responsive. Also, I updated the vCard parser, and added some other smaller improvements.

Qrafter and Qrafter Pro reach version 6.0
0Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 6.0 were just approved by Apple.
This version drops iPhone 3G and iOS 4.2.1 and earlier support because of restrictions in Apple’s development tools, but with this change it gained iPhone 5 screen support. Also, it lays a new foundation to the scanner framework, which will let it scan many more barcode types in the future versions.
The apps can talk 2 more languages now, totaling 11; Simplified Chinese and Catalan. I thank Timothy Gu and Joan Company very much for their incredibly patient help on translations.

Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.6 for iPhone and iPad released
0The new version of Qrafter and Qrafter Pro are now approved and available on the App Store.
Unfortunately this version will be the last version to support iPhone 3G and versions of iOS earlier than 4.3. Apple’s new development tools only support iOS 4.3 and later, that’s why all developers are forced to do this. This version will continue working on iPhone 3G but you will not be able to update it unless you get a newer device.

Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.5 for iPhone and iPad released
0Qrafter and Qrafter Pro have reached version 5.5. This version includes the following changes:
- Added Dropbox integration with background upload support and local notifications
- Updated Facebook integration
- Updated Foursquare integration
- Added Portuguese translation by Hermano Queiroz
The most exciting addition is the Portuguese language support for which I am deeply grateful to Hermano Queiroz. With this addition, Qrafter now supports nine different languages.

Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.4 for iPhone and iPad released
1Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.4 are now available on the App Store. This version fixes a bug which caused Qrafter to crash on iOS 4.3 and earlier. This bug was introduced with v5.3. Thanks to Apple for their help on reviewing the app with high priority.

0After one year and five months on the App Store, Qrafter and Qrafter Pro reach a total download count of 2,010,200. One million of them were in the last six months. Hoping to see three million soon!

Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.3 for iPhone and iPad released
0After a long wait (for me), Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.3 are now available on the App Store. The addition of this version is the malicious URL checker that will both display the final destination of a URL that was scanned from a QR Code and check it for malicious content.
The difference of this checker from a couple of apps on the App Store that say they do the same is, this actually works, without confusing you with some unnecessary graphs or “maliciousness percentages”. The URL is either safe or is possible malware/phishing URL. Simple and reliable.
This version also makes it much easier to reach the Facebook page of Qrafter, directing you to the official Facebook app (if installed) instead of opening a browser window.

Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.2 for iPhone and iPad released
2Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.2 are now live on the App Store.
One of the most requested features was being able to create an event QR Code by selecting the event from the calendar. So, this is the one which fulfills that request. Other than that, there are updates to the iCalendar parser and general code improvements.

0Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.1 were approved by Apple and are now live on the App Store.
This version came too soon after 5.0, because the “X-Scanner-UA” header created some loading issues with some sites. I had to remove the header for the time being, but will try to add it again in the future. I updated the vCard parser while at it, so now we have a vCard parser that no other app has.
