World Community Grid
Welcome to the homepage of Apple Mac Users team of World Community Grid.
This team is a gathering point mostly (while not necessarily only) for Mac Users. Everyone, whether a Mac user or not, is welcome to join this team while trying to aid in solving the complex problems given in the grid.
The mission of World Community Grid is, in their words, “to create the world’s largest public computing grid to tackle projects that benefit humanity”.
It is a big computing grid, which makes use of idle processing power that our computers don’t use. If you do not shut your computer down when going to lunch at work, or overnight, you can launch your BOINC application and help the grid parse biological or genetic research samples.
